EVS, in cooperation with the international esports organization ESL, has created the industry’s first solution for slow-motion playback in the game. One of the ways they achieved this result was by incorporating observer computers into the live game, using them as if they were cameras.
The video is recorded at 120 Hz and sent to the production server, where it is slowed down to 60 Hz. This allows you to make in-game replays that create an immersive experience for viewers, similar to what fans get when watching a live football or basketball game on TV.
