Imagine Communications and Telestream join the SRT Alliance

28.07.2019

VisionHOUSE partners Imagine Communications and Telestream have joined the SRT Alliance, which supports the SRT Open Source project with dozens of leading broadcast solution providers.

FOR MANY BROADCASTERS, SRT HAS BECOME THE DE FACTO PROFESSIONAL STANDARD FOR LOW-LATENCY STREAMING IN THE TELEVISION AND STREAMING INDUSTRIES.

The open SRT (Secure Reliable Transport) protocol for low-latency video streaming was developed by Haivision to transmit high-quality signals with low latency over conventional Internet networks.

For many broadcasters, SRT has become the de facto professional standard for low-latency streaming in the television and streaming industries.

SRT was recognized at NAB 2017 when it was used by more than 200 companies, including Microsoft, Comcast, EBU/Eurovision, Harmonic, Ateme, MediaKind, Brightcove and Kaltura, who demonstrated their support for the SRT Alliance.

SRT Alliance partners will be represented at NAB 2019. Haivision and Microsoft will be hosting free panel discussions with leading broadcasters from around the world who will talk about SRT implementation and the impact of SRT on technological processes. The seminar schedule and registration are available on the Haivision website.
