In 2019, Novy TV channel’s broadcasting facilities were moved to the same building as STB as part of the Starlight Media holding’s strategy. Since STB’s playout was transferred to the integrated Broadstream Oasys system in 2017, the technical management decided to expand it to support the broadcasting of Novy TV channel.
System integrator VisionHOUSE, BroadStream’s partner in Ukraine, provided the development of the Oasys integrated playout extension for Novy TV channel, equipment supply, implementation, launch and training of employees. The agreement was signed in September 2019, and test broadcasting started in November with a new playout.
This integration of the media holding’s broadcasting capacities allows the media holding to optimize its investments and save resources:
- employees who have been trained to work on the same technology become interchangeable;
- A single space serves the workflow of three TV channels;
- maintenance, modernization, and the operation of one system instead of many is faster and more efficient.
The BroadStream Oasys integrated playout solution has successfully delivered on-air graphics, playout and automation to many Ukrainian TV companies.
